Also, sadly, our local cinema, which has no lift to the upstairs screen so rushing in at the last minute is out. Worse still I once attended a PIP interview and was told the lift was broken and the interview was on the first floor ... I did crawl on my hands and knees that time. At my uni, only a few months ago, I was faced with a flight of steps as high as a three story house when the usual rooms for our Saturday School were being refurbished. By the time my husband had hauled me up to the top I was a quivering wreck and in floods of tears (part frustration and part embarrassment). The alternative was, you've guessed it, a long detour involving walking up a hill, along a road and then down again! My query to Student Services re this last has, as far as I can tell, been completely ignored.
