Next Project: New Keyring Cards

With the hospital and PoTS cartoon books as complete except for the foreword (which is being written by someone else), I was planning to take a break between projects. But having nearly run out of 3 different keyring cards (it seems that being featured on the BBC 'in pictures' web page was rather beneficial) I've decided I need to do an urgent re-print.

That means I need to create another few cards (I have to print in batches of designs).

I have decided that this next batch I'd like to do a couple relevant to/useful to people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and possibly some which would be useful for people with mental health issues such as depression.

So, if you have any suggestions please add them as a comment below, suggest them to me on twitter or facebook, or email me at admin@stickmancommunications.co.uk

I wont be able to create them all, but I will be able to do some and will keep the others in my list for future print runs.

I am already working on one with an explanation of fibromyalgia.

  1. I had a couple of ideas but I've just checked & you seem to have done them already :) I might buy myself some of your excellent communication cards soon.

  2. How about some Accessory Induced Invisibility cards:

The person sat between the two wheels on the chair is still in the chair.

The person standing holding the walking aid is flesh and blood, not an HG Wells creation.

  3. Hi, I don't think I've commented on here before but I found your site through Adam Hills' retweet of your paralympians on a pedestal, and occasionally pop by to have a look and catch up with your blog posts.

I don't know if you're still considering potential future designs, but I'd love to have a couple to do with hearing impairment, such as ...

My ability to process sound has temporarily left the building. Please try again later.
I know you're talking to me but I have no idea what you're saying. Please use the pen and paper currently being offered.
Please face me so I can read your lips. (But there's really no need to shout or do your best fish impression!) [ -- People who exaggerate their lips patterns make it almost impossible to lip-read, and draw unwanted attention to themselves!]

... or something along those lines. (I know you do blank cards, but your stickmen really make the printed cards special!)

Anyway, thank you for your site and creations - I've learned a lot, laughed a lot, and been able to share some gems with my wheelie friends :D

    1. *Re: the lip-reading one, the bit in square brackets was just a bit of explanation for here; I didn't intend it to be part of the suggested keyring. Just thought I ought to clarify.

    2. Great suggestions - although my next round of cards won't be for a while yet, I am definitely planning to include a lip-reading one, and will consider the other ones too :) Thank you.
